David Alonso took another perfectly judged Moto3 victory in Barcelona

World champion David Alonso earned another record-breaking win after a perfectly-judged Moto3 victory in Barcelona.

The Colombian scored his 14th victory of the season after holding off Dani Holgado, a feat that had never been achieved in any class before.

Alonso got the best start from pole position and was easily able to keep hold of his lead going into the first corner.

The traditional group racing in Barcelona commenced at the start of the second lap, with Ivan Ortola and Holgado looking to challenge Alonso out front, though the Colombian was able to outbrake the pair to retain his lead.

Holgado maintained a pace advantage throughout the second lap and was able to pass Alonso over the line, and was followed through by Fernandez and Munoz.

Ortola was also able to overtake Alonso later on the third lap as the world champion was demoted further into the group of 15 riders.

Fernandez hit the front as the riders continued to exchange the lead due to the power of the slipstream on the home straight.

Holgado returned to the head of the pack and while the Spanish rider was unable to break away from the group, his late braking allowed him to hold onto the lead for several laps.

Alonso was slowly beginning to progress through the group, moving from seventh to fifth after overtaking Furusato and Piqueras.

A small collision between Ortola and Munoz allowed the Colombian to take advantage and gain two more places as he returned to the podium positions while the two Spanish riders were pushed back into the field.

The world champion made use of the slipstream and was able to hit the front with five laps to go, as he attempted to break from the 12-rider group.

With three laps to go, the slipstream effect proved too powerful once more as Fernandez, Munoz, Ortola and Holgado all made passes on the world champion.

A superb double overtake from Alonso saw him retake the lead as he started the final lap at the head of the group.

Fernandez went wide at Turn 1 and took a shortcut, which pushed him out of podium contention despite rejoining in third.

Holgado tried everything to get back on terms with Alonso out front, but was too far behind to challenge the Aspar rider.

Alonso crossed the line to make more history with his seventh consecutive race win, just over a tenth clear of Holgado.

Piqueras crossed the line in fourth, but inherited the final podium place after teammate Fernandez was penalised for taking the shortcut at Turn 1.

Jose Antonio Rueda displayed momentous late race pace and took fourth, mere tenths clear of Munoz in fifth.

Munoz was then demoted one position after the race finished due to irresponsible riding as Ryusei Yamanaka inherited fifth place.

Taiyo Furusato was just behind in seventh, while rookie Jacob Roulstone crossed the line in an impressive eighth.

Ortola dropped down the order on the final lap and crossed the line in ninth as Collin Veijer rounded out the top ten.

Fernandez slotted into 11th after being awarded a three second penalty on the final lap ahead of Joel Kelso in 12th.

Tatsuki Suzuki took 13th while the Snipers pair of David Almansa and Matteo Bertelle completed the points finishers in 14th and 15th respectively.

David Alonso earns record-breaking 12th victory of 2024 in Buriram

World champion David Alonso earned a record-breaking 12th Moto3 victory of the season at the Thai GP in Buriram.

The Colombian had equalled Valentino Rossi’s record for most wins in the lightweight class in Phillip Island last weekend, but victory in Buriram means Alonso stands alone in the record books.

Before the race began, it was shortened to 12 laps due to rain in the area, giving the riders a dilemma as to which tyres to choose.

Polesitter Joel Kelso got a fantastic start and was able to hold his lead from Collin Veijer into the first corner.

On the third lap, Veijer overtook Kelso to take charge of the leading group of seven as world champion Alonso progressed through to second.

Alonso was then able to take the lead from Veijer as the red and white flags started to wave as spots of rain became visible.

The leading pack continued to jostle for position which allowed Taiyo Furusato to get to the front and build a gap of six tenths to the 10-rider group.

The champion moved to the head of the chasers and set a lap record to close the gap to Furusato, and was able to move past the Japanese rider to regain the lead.

Leopard’s contenders Angel Piqueras and Adrian Fernandez continued their strong showing in the flyaways, but a collision between the pair saw them both exit the race on the penultimate lap.

Ivan Ortola took the lead from Alonso on the final lap, but Alonso was quick to respond as it was a dash to the line between five riders.

Alonso was able to hold his line into the final corner and clinched his 12th victory of the campaign.

The race for the podium was behind the world champion, as Luca Lunetta, Veijer and Furusato duelled it out for the final two spots on the rostrum.

Lunetta was able to hang on to second, but a collision between Veijer and Furusato saw the Japanese rider crash out before taking the flag as Veijer stole third.

Ortola was fourth after running wide at the final corner as Furusato was reinstated to fifth.

David Munoz led the pair of Boe Motorsport bikes over the line in sixth, as Kelso took seventh.

Scott Ogden crossed the line in eighth ahead of Stefano Nepa in ninth, while Tatsuki Suzuki rounded out the top 10.

Ryusei Yamanaka took the flag in 11th, narrowly clear of Dani Holgado in 12th and Riccardo Rossi in 13th.

Filippo Farioli was 14th as Jose Antonio Rueda completed the points finishers in 15th.

David Alonso earned a record-breaking victory in the Moto3 race at Phillip Island

Newly crowned World Champion David Alonso earned his fourth successive Moto3 victory in an instant classic at Phillip Island.

Alonso’s 11th victory of the campaign saw him equal Valentino Rossi’s record of the most wins in a lightweight class season, and broke Joan Mir’s record for the most points.

MT Helmets’ Ivan Ortola got a good launch from pole to hold his position into Turn 1, but Boe Motorsports’ David Munoz was able to sweep around the outside to take the lead at Turn 2.

Stefano Nepa briefly took control going onto the second lap but relinquished the lead to home favourite Joel Kelso after serving the first of the long lap penalties he had received after qualifying.

The race proved to develop into a classic Phillip Island group setting, as the leading pack increased lap-on-lap to 17 riders in contention.

Newly crowned champion Alonso moved to the head of the field but was unable to break up the new leading group of 11.

Collin Veijer looked to progress through the field, but made contact with Angel Piqueras, and the Dutchman took Ortola down after losing control of his Husqvarna machine.

The incident allowed the group to close back up as Adrian Fernandez took to the front and was able to pull a slight gap on the rest of the field with 7 laps to go.

Alonso was able to make his way back to the front after brief battles in the group and used late race pace to pull away from Munoz in second.

A strong move from Luca Lunetta on Taiyo Furusato further back in the leading pack saw the podium battle become a fight between the front four.

It was Alonso who judged the race to perfection to take the chequered flag, two seconds clear of his rivals.

The Colombian’s win down under saw him earn his fourth win in a row and equal Valentino Rossi’s record of 11 victories in a lightweight class season.

Tech3 KTM’s Dani Holgado won a four-way race for second place, as Fernandez rounded out the podium in third.

Nepa and Munoz both narrowly missed out on the podium in fourth and fifth.

Ryusei Yamanaka took the flag in sixth with compatriot Furusato trailing behind in seventh.

Lunetta was eighth after a mistake late on in the race ahead of Jose Antonio Rueda in ninth, while Piqueras rounded out the top 10.

Home hero Kelso came home in 11th, narrowly clear of Riccardo Rossi in 12th and fellow Australian Jacob Roulstone in 13th.

Matteo Bertelle took 14th for the Snipers team ahead of Tatsuki Suzuki, who took the final point in 15th.

CF Moto Aspar rider David Alonso was resolute in his defence in the Moto3 Catalan Grand Prix, taking a fine victory to reclaim the championship lead.

The Colombian rider held firm to come out on top ahead of polesitter Iván Ortolá and Husqvarna’s Collin Veijer, with championship rival Daniel Holgado resigned to sixth.

Ortolá maintained the lead heading into Turn 1 despite an aggressive David Muñoz manoeuvre to prevent him from overtaking, as the stewards penalised him with a long-lap penalty.

Muñoz rejoined in 12th when he opted to take his penalty on the third lap, before dropping down further to 15th as he was caught napping.

Ortolá led proceedings but was unable to stretch his lead further than half a second due to a large group lapping quicker.

The core group of Ortolá, Alonso, Daniel Holgado, Collin Veijer, Luca Lunetta and Jose Antonio Rueda’s aggressive battles with each other saw a change in the lead following the straight in the earlier phases.

Holgado, the Championship leader heading into the race, led the following few laps as his late-breaking was utilised effectively to prevent others from overtaking.

Australian Joel Kelso – who’s team-mates with Muñoz – retired from the race at the twisty Turn 3 which marked his first retirement of the 2024 season.

Taiyo Furusato was punished with a double long-lap penalty for unnecessary slowing and after starting in fourth, his race was ruined further as he crashed out later that same lap.

On Lap 8 Ortola regained his lead, as a minor error forced Holgado back to sixth, showcasing the close proximity of multiple riders.

Muñoz was able to set consistent lap times to get himself back to the front pack, where he was as high as sixth with 10 laps to go as he was in contention for the win once more.

Tatsuki Suzuki’s struggles continued further as he exceeded track limits and was awarded a long-lap penalty himself.

Alonso and Ortolá were able to get out in front and both riders stretched the lead to 0.2s, with Veijer looking to pounce if the opportunity presented itself.

Alonso smashed the lap record with three laps to go, where the Columbian posted a 1.47.030s to try and put the race to bed.

The core group separated into only Alonso, Ortolá, and Veijer for the final two laps but Rueda bettered Alonso’s lap time as he put his bike in uncharted territory – posting in a 1.46.748s.

Alonso saved his tyres efficiently and set his best lap of the race on the final lap to round off the win, with Ortolá converting his pole into second followed by a last-lap overtake from Rueda to snatch third spot.

Veijer took home a respectable fourth spot ahead of Muñoz who was able to recover well from his long lap penalty.

Holgado’s tyres struggled towards the latter stages which put him 3.3s behind his championship rival, but Lunetta and team-mate Jacob Roulstone were too far back to mount a late charge.

Filippo Farioli and Adrian Fernandez had a photo finish to determine 9th and 10th, with the former coming out on top.

Ryussei Yamanka, Angel Piqueras, Stefano Nepa, and Joel Esteban were separated by only 0.102s as the group tussled into the very last corner to claim as many points on the board as possible.

Suzuki claimed the final point but was disappointed to be twelve seconds behind the race leader.

Alonso now leads the way in the Moto3 standings with 118 points, 14 ahead of second-place Holgado.

Aspar’s David Alonso won a tight battle to take victory in the French Grand Prix Moto3 race at Le Mans, overcoming a challenge from Tech3’s Daniel Holgado and Husqvarna’s Collin Veijer.

The form man before lights out was Alonso, who lined up on pole having topped every weekend session thus far.

Alonso lined up on the front row with championship leader Daniel Holgado and Ajo KTM rider Jose Antonio Rueda.

Veijer, who sat third in the standings before lights out and winner of the previous round, fronted the second row.

It was a good start from Alonso, with Holgado challenging into Turn 1 and then overtaking into Turn 4 to take the lead.

The big move on Lap 1 was Boe Motorsport’s David Munoz, charging from eighth on the grid to third by Turn 3 before moving past Alonso to take second.

Into Lap 2 and 20 Holgado, Munoz and Alonso looked like the form trio at the front, but a train of bikes was queueing behind in typical Moto3 fashion.

Leading the chasing pack was Adrian Fernandez, who took third off of Alonso at the end of Lap 2, albeit with a double long lap penalty looming over his head and he took the first of those on Lap 3 – dropping him to 16th.

Veijer at this point assumed third, ahead of Alonso and Ivan Ortola, until Angel Piqueras punched in a fastest lap and forced his way into the top five at Turn 3 on Lap 4.

Piqueras then pipped Alonso for fourth at Turn 8 (Garage Vert), but not to be outdone, the polesitter reclaimed the position after a back-and-forth with the Leopard rider.

The field was being well-behaved by Moto3 standards and a nose-to-tail group of bikes stretching outside of the points-paying positions meant the Le Mans crowd was being treated to an enthralling contest – typified by 17th placed Stefano Nepa setting the fastest lap on the sixth tour of the Bugatti Circuit.

On Lap 8 Munoz lost his hold on second to Jerez race winner Veijer and then temporarily lost third to Riccardo Rossi.

However, Munoz elected to reclaim third by shunting Rossi off at Turn 11, calling the race stewards to investigate the decision.

The decision came two laps later and the verdict was a double long lap penalty for the Spaniard, effectively ending his challenge for victory.

Amid the drama surrounding Munoz, Veijer took to the front on Lap 9 as he sought to claim back-to-back victories.

Holgado tucked in behind the Husqvarna rider, meanwhile, Alonso watched proceedings unfold from fourth place as Munoz, having forced his way into the lead, took his first long lap penalty on Lap 11.

Munoz had displaced Veijer from his controlling position at the front, meaning Holgado returned to be race leader wants the Boe Motorsports machine had exited stage left via the long lap loop.

The massive train of bikes was starting to stretch on Lap 13 as Veijer – back in the lead again – Holgado, Alonso and Ortola looked to break away.

Not to be left out, Ortola’s MT Helmets team-mate Ryusei Yamanaka was fighting to keep pace with the front four in fifth.

Yamanaka’s claim to take a top-five place was affected by Aspar rider Joel Esteban who took P5 on Lap 14.

Then as the field came around to start Lap 15, the top two tipped into Turn 1 and Holgado bashed into the side of Veijer, luckily avoiding taking the pair out.

The front two were given a brief reprieve when Ortola put a block pass on Alonso to take third at Turn 3 on Lap 17, but half a lap later, Alonso came back at the MT Helmets rider to resume running in the top three.

With three laps to go Veijer retook the lead but then coming out of Garage Vert Alonso drafted from third to first and coming onto the start of the penultimate lap, the front three engaged in an almighty scrap.

At the start of the final lap, it was Holgado from Alonso, at least until Turn 2 as the polesitter took to the front.

Holgado then tried to draft past on the back straight but Alonso held firm on the breaks.

The #80 rider couldn’t be passed during the final few corners and took his third Grand Prix win of the season, narrowing the gap to Holgado at the top of the standings to just a single point.

Alonso, Holgado and third-placed Veijer stopped on the cooldown lap to congratulate one another after a well-run race.

Esteban and Ortola were the best of the rest in fourth and fifth.

Fernandez came back from his double long lap penalty to finish in sixth, ahead of Yamanaka in seventh.

Rueda went from second on the grid to eighth, with Tatsuki Suzuki and Piqueras completing the top-10.

Luca Luneta and Jacob Roulstone finished just outside the top-10 in 11th and 12th with Joel Kelso and Taiyo Furusato 13th and 14th.

David Almansa took the final point on offer in 15th.

Izan Guevara sprinted away from his rivals in the closing laps of the Catalan Moto3 encounter to score his second victory of 2022 ahead of rookie David Munoz.

Having shown to be one of the men to beat alongside Dennis Foggia across the weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, Guevara tussled with the likes of the Italian, GasGas team-mate Sergio Garcia as well as 16-year old sensation Munoz in the large lead group, made up of well over ten riders for the most part.

Guevara’s task was made slightly easier as Foggia was forced to retire after just over half-a-dozen tours as his Leopard Honda sustained a broken chain, leaving him to notch up a second straight non-points finish.

With around a quarters distance remaining Guevara attempted to break away from team-mate Garcia, with Munoz and the sister Leopard entry of Tatsuki Suzuki in turn breaking away from the remaining pack.

Having crafted a six-tenth advantage, Guevara all but had victory secured after Garcia had a small bobble at Turn 5 on the penultimate circulation, the Spaniard left with over a second over his pursuers heading onto the final lap.

This left Garcia to try and defend his runners-up spot from the attacking Munoz and Suzuki, the series leader being dumped to fourth at Turn 1 as the final tour began.

The trio tussled the entire way around the final lap, Munoz securing second with a daring dive at Turn 10 as Guevara flew over the line to score victory by 1.9 seconds over the Boe SKX pilot in only his second Moto3 world championship race from a remarkable 20th on the grid.

Suzuki meanwhile managed to also slide past Garcia at the final corner to complete the rostrum positions, while Deniz Oncu rounded off the top five.

Carlos Tatay utilised the harder-compound rear tyre to fight through to sixth across the climactic stages ahead of MAX Racing’s John McPhee, with Jaume Masia dropping to eighth in the end having been a part of the rostrum battle only a few lap prior to the finish.

Riccardo Rossi ended up ninth for the SIC58 squad, with Adrian Fernandez finishing off the top ten.

David Salvador – who is subbing for the injured Ayumu Sasaki at MAX Racing – saw a potential top five result lost after being rear-ended by Ryusei Yamanaka at Turn 10 at around mid-distance, the duo both going down along with an innocent Daniel Holgado, who was taken out by an incident not of his own making for the second straight weekend.

Garcia’s points lead has now been reduced from 28 to 16 over Guevara heading to the Sachsenring in Germany in two weeks time, with Masia now a distant 54 in-arrears in third overall.

Sergio Garcia secured his third win of 2022 in the Italian Moto3 ecnounter after GasGas team-mate Izan Guevara was demoted from the win after the flag due to track limits.

Guevara looked strong throughout the 20-lap contest as he initially was part of a three-man group – the Spaniard joined by Diogo Moreira and Deniz Oncu – that crafted a near-second lead over the rest, though they ultimately fell back into the pack at around a quarters distance.

From this point onwards it was a case of survival as the lead group was eventually whittled down to just seven riders as the race entered its climactic stages, Moreira having held the lead as the final lap began – though the Brazilian was swamped on the run to Turn 1 and dropped to sixth, Guevara having now moved into the lead.

Guevara managed to hold the lead most of the way around the lap tour before series leader and team-mate Garcia tried to dive through down the inside at the final bend, though Guevara managed to hang on and keep his bike ahead as the field took the chequered flag – though Garcia would ultimate be gifted the victory as it was deemed Guevraa had exceeded track limits on the final lap.

Behind the GasGas duo came Tatsuki Suzuki, who managed to recover from a late long-lap punishment – received for touching Oncu and causing the Turkish pilot to crash – to chase down a near two-second deficit to the lead group to lead only a few circulations from home, though his victory hopes were dashed as he was shuffled back on the final lap.

Home hero Andrea Migno – running a special livery on his Snipers entry – ended up fourth ahead of Ryusei Yamanaka, who scored his third straight top ten.

Moreira’s hopes of a strong result were cruelly ended as he went down at the final corner on the last lap, a touch with Riccardo Rossi causing him to lose the rear end of his bike under power.

Ricardo Rossi therefore took sixth ahead of Ivan Ortola, with Avintia duo Elia Bartolini and Matteo Bertelle grabbing eighth and ninth, while Adrian Fernandez completed the top ten.

Oncu eventually managed to recover for a single point in 15th after remounting his Ajo KTM, with Jaume Masia ending up only 17th after an early run through the gravel.

Pole-man Dennis Foggia looked set to check out as he pulled out nearly a second over his pursuers as the race passed mid-distance, though disaster struck as he lost the rear of his Leopard Honda on the exit of Turn 7, the Italian’s race over there and then.

John McPhee would also see his race ended with a crash at the high-speed Turn 14, the Scot’s MAX Racing machine then being collected by an unlucky Daniel Holgado who was left nowhere to go.

Izan Guevara defeated team-mate Sergio Garcia with an around-the-outside last-corner pass to win a thrilling Moto3 Spanish Grand Prix by just 0.061s.

The GasGas duo looked good to pull away from the rest of the field in the early laps along with Ajo’s Jaume Masia and Daniel Moreira – the quartet having pulled over 1.5 seconds on the rest – though as they started to scrap for the leadership the pursuing Deniz Oncu and Xavier Artigas joined the fray.

Further tussling throughout meant that Riccardo Rossi, Daniel Holgado as well as Ayumu Sasaki – who had to recover from a back of the grid start as well as a long-lap punishment for irresponsible riding in qualifying – created a nine man lead-group that diced for supremacy throughout the 22-lap encounter.

A long-lap penalty for Moreira for track limits, a crash for Rossi and a lack of late-race speed saw the battle for the lead fought between the top half-dozen riders, Oncu looking to score a first ever win as he crossed the start/finish line for the penultimate time at the head of the field.

Masia dived through to pass the Turkish rider at Turn 6, though he was soon relegated back to second once again as the Tech 3 man snapped back just two corners later.

A bold move on Garcia at Turn 9 saw Garcia emerge as Oncu’s biggest threat as they navigated the final few corners, though it would be Guevara that found glory by sending his Aspar-run KTM around the outside of his peers at the final bend to take the lead exiting the corner.

The Spaniard managed to get a good enough exit to take the chequered flag just fractions ahead of his team-mate Garcia, who had managed to pass Oncu on the inside of the final turn.

Gallingly for Oncu he was also passed by Masia for the final spot on the rostrum, leaving him to take fourth ahead of Artigas and Sasaki.

Kaito Toba was closing on the leaders in the clsoing laps but ultimately found himself too far adrift as he crossed the line seventh ahead of Ryusei Yamanaka and Holgado, with Moreira salvaging a top ten result after taking his long-lap.

Honda’s lightweight machines struggled badly for speed at Jerez, the best classified of the Japanese manufacturer’s entries being Scott Ogden in 12th for the Visiontrack squad, while Andrea Migno and Dennis Foggia could manage only 14th and 19th respectively as they slipped back throughout.

Foggia’s disaster means that Garcia now possesses a 21 point advantage over the Italian heading to Le Mans in two weeks time, with Masia now a further 12 markers adrift.

Sergio Garcia fought off a charging Jaume Masia across the final lap of the Portuguese Moto3 encounter to secure his second win of the year to take the points lead.

The GasGas rider looked set to ride off into the distance in the early laps as he pulled away from a struggling Deniz Oncu, Garcia managing to craft a handy 1.6 second lead by the time team-mate Izan Guevara managed to pass the Turkish ace for second.

Guevara had slightly stronger speed than Garcia once in clean air though and started to inch towards the Spaniard, eventually catching and passing him for the lead as the race passed mid-distance.

From this point onwards the leading group of five riders – the GasGas duo joined by Oncu, Masia and Ayumu Sasaki – tussled over the lead, though it was Garcia who entered Turn 1 at the start of the final tour ahead having scythed past Sasaki as they thundered across the start/finish line for the penultimate time.

Masia managed to follow through on his Ajo-run KTM with a bold move into Turn 1 and set about running the leader down across the final tour, and despite closing right up in the final sector he was powerless to prevent Garcia flying across the line to score his second win of 2022 by just 0.069s, Masia collecting second having fought back from a lowly 15th on the grid.

Sasaki managed to hold off Oncu for the final rostrum spot, while Guevara slipped back to fifth by the end.

Carlos Tatay meanwhile came out on top of a frenetic scrap for sixth on his CFMoto machine, the Prustel rider heading Andrea Migno and Brazilian rookie Diogo Moreira home.

Dennis Foggia – who led the points race heading into Portimao – struggled to make much progress in the contest after qualifying only 12th, the Leopard man claiming ninth ahead of Joel Kelso, the Aussie moving his way from 13th to complete the top ten on the final circulation.

Scott Ogden ran solidly within the top ten for the bulk of the outing, though the Visiontrack Honda pilot ultimately fell back to the rear of the second group to 13th by the end just behind Ricardo Rossi and Tatsuki Suzuki.

Front-row starter Mario Aji struggled to replicate the blinding speed he showed in the wet conditions once things dried out, the Indonesian falling to 16th by the time he took the chequered flag.

Garcia’s success sees him move into the lead of the Moto3 riders standings after four rounds by just two points over Foggia, while Masia moves into third overall 29 points from the series lead.

Izan Guevara scored his first Moto3 victory after the Grand Prix of the Americas was cancelled following a fearsome crash on the back straight.

Guevara led the way following the end of the opening seven laps of the 17 tour event prior to tjhe first of two red flag periods, the initial stoppage coming after Filip Salac high-sided at Turn 11, the Czech rider eventually removed from the track conscious.

A five lap dash to decide the race was then called, though this too was stopped after a huge crash caused by Tech 3’s Deniz Oncu turning across Jeremy Alcoba on the main straight, causing the Gresini man to go down at around 140 miles per hour, his bike being collected by the unsighted Andrea Migno and series leader Pedro Acosta close behind.

Despite both going airbourne they escaped injury, though with time running short the decision was ultimately made to call the race after the original seven laps prior to the first red flag with full points, gifting the win to Guevara despite the GasGas man retiring from the restarted contest with a technical issue.

Dennis Foggia therefore claimed second for Leopard Racing ahead of John McPhee, the Scot completing the rostrum for Petronas SRT.

Jaume Masia ended up fourth ahead of Oncu and Alcoba, while Darryn Binder laid claim to seventh just clear of Acosta-who sees his 42 point lead trimmed to 30 over Foggia with three races remaining.

Tatsuki Suzuki and Migno completed the top ten for the SIC 58 and Snipers squad’s respectively.

Sergio Garcia’s title hopes took a hit after sustaining bruising to his kidney in a practice crash on Friday, forcing him to sit out the rest of the weekend as a result and dropping to 50 points adrift of Acosta in the riders standings heading to Misano in three weeks time.
